A woman is killed every three days by male violence in the UK. In the wake of Sarah Everard's murder, there has been a growing movement both here in Sutton and nationally to end violence against women and girls (VAWG). This is not our project BUT:
We would like to share information about artist-led free workshops on Saturday the 19th February. Join a creative conversation on ending violence against women and girls. The project is a result of conversations between Reclaim Sutton's Streets and members of Sutton Council.
The free, community workshops precede the creation of a mosaic memorial bench remembering women and girs who have died from male violence.
One of our artists, Hana Horack-Elyafi, will be working with Samia Tossio of www.samiArt.co.uk, to run the workshop. All materials are included, but
registration is required! You will be making a mosaic heart, using glass tiles. Trigger Warning: Please note sensitive issues will be discussed and we have set an age limit of 8.
